Limited Operation of Toll Gate Entry/Exit Access in Central Java & East Java Provinces During Emergency PPKM Implementation
Jakarta, BPJT (16/7/21) - Following up on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 15 of 2021 dated July 2, 2021 regarding the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) from July 3 to July 20, 2021, which will be specifically enforced on the islands of Java and Bali, the Government has taken decisive steps related to the implementation of the Emergency PPKM as an effort to suppress the spread of Covid-19 in the country which is growing very fast so that it is hoped that this pandemic will end soon.
Head of BPJT Danang Parikesit said that currently the Government through the Police together with the local Government has closed and insulated access to and from toll roads in order to limit community activities, including logistics transport vehicles.
"In this case, the PUPR Ministry's BPJT supports the implementation aspects, namely on toll roads in the Greater Jakarta area, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, and several toll roads on the island of Sumatra," said Danang.
In this regard and taking into account the application letter from the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Trucking Entrepreneurs Association (DPP APTRINDO), the BPJT of the Ministry of PUPR has coordinated with all stakeholders and BUJT to make recommendations on the operation of access to enter and exit the Toll Gate (GT) on a limited basis in order to ensure smooth operation. supply logistics, especially in the Provinces of Central Java and East Java.
For Central Java Province, there are 6 Toll Gates (GT) which are operated on a limited basis, namely GT Brebes Barat (Access to Brebes Agricultural Area) on the Pejagan - Pemalang Toll Road, GT Kandeman (Access Towards Pekalongan Industrial Estate) & GT Weleri (Access to the Pekalongan Industrial Estate) Kendal and Batang Industries) on the Batang - Semarang Toll Road.
Then GT Muktiharjo (Access to Semarang Industrial Estate) on the Semarang ABC Toll Road, GT Colomadu (Access to Solo Industrial Estate), and GT Karanganyar (Access to Karanganyar Agricultural Area) on the Solo - Ngawi Toll Road.
Furthermore, for East Java Province, there are 3 Toll Gates (GT) which are operated on a limited basis, namely GT Sidoarjo (Access Towards Sidoarjo Industrial Estate), GT Waru (Access Towards Waru Industrial Estate), and GT Tanggulangin (Access Towards Tanggulangin Area) on the Toll Road. Surabaya - Gempol.
The blocking and operation of limited toll gates in several toll roads will also be carried out by the police selectively and situationally by looking at the conditions on the ground. The government apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this isolation, it is hoped that the community will also support each other and participate in the efforts that have been made.
Danang added, with the implementation of the Emergency PPKM on the islands of Java and Bali so far, we must all support each other and work hard so that the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia can be suppressed immediately with good cooperation from all Indonesian people.
