Before Officially Operating, a Feasibility Test For The Function of Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung Toll Road
Lampung - Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) The Ministry of PUPR is completing a construction project of 189 Km of the Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung Toll Road which is one of the main routes of the Trans Sumatra toll road. By targeting the completion of the toll road which is planned to operate in June 2019, a Function Worthy Test is conducted by an evaluation team consisting of elements from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Ministry of Transportation, and the National Police Traffic Corps, on (2-3 / 5/19).
The function of the proper test for the Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung toll road is carried out by the Function Worthy Team, which is divided into 3 sub teams. Sub team 1 evaluates aspects of safety and traffic management, Sub Team 2 evaluates aspects of road, bridge and complementary facilities. then Sub Team 3 carries out evaluation of administrative and operational aspects.
Feasibility Test of the Functions of the Terbanggi Besar Toll Road - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung is divided into checking the quality of road construction that must meet safety standards for passing road users. In addition, a complete check-up of road markings and traffic signs on the toll road by the evaluation team, so that the nanit will produce safe quality of toll road operations for users of this toll road, especially in the Lampung region.
Later, after the completion of the function tests for the Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung toll road is completed, a function-worthy certificate will be issued from the Ministry of Transportation's Directorate General of Land Transportation, and an operational feasibility certificate from the DG of Ministry of Public Works so that the toll road can be operated according to its operational period by toll road operators.
The Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung Toll Road is divided into 2 sections, namely the Section I of the Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang section with a length of 112 Km, currently the construction progress has reached 91.24%. Then in the 77 km section of Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung section, the construction progress has now reached 95.23%.
The presence of the Terbanggi Besar jol - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung road will also be functionally operated at the Lebaran 2019 mudik flow celebration. The operation of this toll road during the upcoming homecoming, Contra Flow (one-way) is being proposed starting from Bakauheni to Kayu Agung. So that the three roads will use one direction towards Palembang on the homecoming flow and, on the backflow, one direction is also going towards Lampung.
The construction of the Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung toll road, which was carried out since July 2018, was built using an investment cost of Rp. 21.95 trillion with a concession period (since SPMK) for 40 years. This toll road is part of the 141km stretch of the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road that has been operating since March 2019. (ADCA)
