President of RI Joko Widodo inaugurates Bakauheni – Terbanggi Besar Toll Road Segment of Bakauheni Port - SS Bakauheni and SS Lematang Segment - SS Kotabaru.

President of RI Joko Widodo inaugurates Bakauheni – Terbanggi Besar Toll Road  Segment of Bakauheni Port - SS Bakauheni and SS Lematang Segment - SS Kotabaru (21/01). Located at the South Bakauheni Toll Gate, Lampung, President Joko Widodo was accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, SOE Minister Rini Soemarno, Presidential ChiefMoeldoko, Lampung Governor Ridho Ficardo and Governor of Bank Indonesia Agus D.W. Martowardojo.

Bakauheni Port Segment - SS Bakauheni has a length of 8.9 Km and SS Lematang Segment - SS Kotabaru along 5 Km. Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar Toll Road has an overall length of 140.9 Km and is divided into 4 sections: Section 1 Bakauheni Port - Sidomulyo Intersection of 39.4 Km long, Section 2 Simpang Susun Sidomulyo - Simpang Susun Kotabaru with 40.6 Km , Section 3 Simpang Susun Kotabaru - Simpang Susun Metro length 29 Km and Section 4 Simpang Susun Metro – Terbanggi Besar along 31.9 Km.

 

The construction of the Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar toll road is done through the synergy of SOEs, between Hutama Karya and 4 other state-owned construction companies, PT. PP (Persero) Tbk. who is working on Package 1, PT. Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. who is working on Package 2, PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. who is working on Package 3, and PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. who is working on Package 4.

In undertaking the entire package of the construction of the toll road mentioned above, I Gusti Ngurah Putra, President Director of PT Hutama Karya (Persero) is confident that it will complete it according to the target time set.

"Overall, in terms of land acquisition has 95.02%, from the construction aspect has reached 65.65%. Through the synergy of BUMNs that have been established since the beginning, we are optimistic to finish everything on time, "he said with an optimistic tone.

In terms of financing, the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar segment requires an investment of Rp 16.8 trillion. And the share of capital or equity is 52% fulfilled. Equity fulfillment is done through State Equity Participation (PMN) in 2015/2016 of Rp. 2.2 Trillion, as well as through the issuance of Hutama Karya bonds in stages of Rp. 6.5 Trillion.

  While the remaining 48% is met through an investment loan scheme of 7 banks and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero). Confirmed separately, Finance Director of PT. Hutama Karya (Persero) Anis Anjayani said that on December 27, 2017, Hutama Karya officially received loans from 7 banking syndicates, namely Bank Mandiri, Bank BNI, Bank BCA, Bank CIMB Niaga, Bank Maybank Indonesia, Bank ICBC Indonesia and Bank Permata amounting to about Rp 8 Trillion. "PT. Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) will provide stand-by loan to assist the company in performing its obligations in case of cashflow deficit during toll operation period, "said Anis.

This toll road is part of the Trans Sumatera Toll Road (Lampung - Aceh) which is included in the toll road development target of 1,800 Km until 2019. This section will be the main road from and to Bakauheni Port which is one of the main ports connecting Java with Sumatra. By connecting with Bakauheni Port the existence of this toll road is expected to facilitate the distribution and decrease logistics cost of goods and services between regions.

The operation of Bakauheni Toll Road - Terbanggi Besar will also support the XVII Asian Games 2018 connectivity to be held in Jakarta and Palembang.

After the inauguration, President Jokowi tested the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll by trucking as a symbol that the Toll as a national logistics link connecting Java and Sumatera as well as in the framework of developing a downstream area based on highly potential agricultural commodities in Lampung Province.

Furthermore, Toll can be passed without tariff as part of socialization to the community especially the first Toll in Lampung. Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road is one of the 24 segments of Trans Sumatra Toll Road developed by PT. Hutama Karya through assignment from the Government and designated as a national strategic project (PSN).

PT. Hutama Karya operates Bakauheni Toll Road Concession - Terbanggi Besar based on Toll Road Concession Agreement signed on 4 September 2015 and amended on April 20, 2016 and July 15, 2016. From the financial aspect, the required investment cost is 16.8 Trillion. The concession period of the Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar Toll Road concession is 40 years since the issuance of Construction Beginning Order (SPMK) by The Indonesia Toll Road Authority (BPJT).
 
The speed of the plan on this section is 60 Km / h and 100 Km / h with the number of 2x2 Stage Start and 2x3 in the Final Stage. The width of the lane on this highway is 3.6 M, with 3 M wide shoulder width and shoulder width in 1.5 M.
 

 

The number of interchanges located on the Bakauheni - Terbanggi BesarToll Road is 9, namely: SS Bakauheni, SS Kalianda, SS Sidomulyo, SS Lematang, SS Kotabaru, SS Branti, SS Metro, SS Gunung Sugih and SS Terbanggi Besar.
