Bekasi - The PUPR Ministry continues to accelerate the construction of the Kertajati West Java International Airport Access (BIJB) toll road which is connected to the 3.38 km Cikopo - Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road and is targeted for completion in September 2021.

Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono appreciated all parties involved in accelerating the construction of the Kertajati West Java International Airport Access (BIJB) toll road.

"It's amazing that it can be completed in September 2021. Good quality and neat. Congratulations and thank you," Minister Basuki wrote in his testimony while reviewing the BIJB Kertajati Access toll road.

This section will later support the operation of BIJB Kertajati as well as support the development of the triangle of economic growth areas in West Java, namely Patimban Port in Subang Regency, Kertajati Airport in Majalengka Regency, and areas in Bekasi, Karawang, and Purwakarta as an industrial area that is interconnected and mutually supportive. to be competitive.

With the construction of the Kertajati Airport Access Toll Road along with the target for the completion of the Cisumdawu Toll Road construction by the end of 2021, it is hoped that it will support connectivity to the airport by reducing travel time from Bandung to around 3 hours to 1 hour.

The construction of the access toll road to BIJB Kertajati which is connected to the Cipali Toll Road starts from KM 158+700. Technically, the main toll road has 4 lanes for two directions with a width of 3.6 meters. Meanwhile, the ramp access has a lane width of 4 meters which is equipped with 2 bridges.

Construction of this toll road segment has been started since the work contract on September 28, 2020, with the construction progress until August 31, 2021, which has reached 96%. The construction was carried out by PT. Lintas Marga Sedaya as the concession holder and also PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) and PT ACSET Indonusa Tbk. as the implementing contractor with a project value of Rp 692 billion. (BPJT/Dms)
