On the day Wednesday, December 17, 2014, the Ministry of Public Works-Pera held a press conference related to the implementation of toll rates on toll roads Surabaya - Gresik presented by the Head of Supervision and Monitoring Secretariat of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency, Mr. Ir. Ch. Kornel M.T. Sihaloho, M.Eng.Sc. The event press conference also attended by Attorney Director of PT. Margabumi Margaraya (PT. MBMR) Mr Harlim Christianto and Finance Director Mrs. Fanny.

Presented by Mr Kornel that the toll road Surabaya-Gresik (20.70 km), which is operated by PT. MBMR has made changes to the contract of toll road operations PKP Toll Road Surabaya - Gresik, Act No. 02 dated May 8, 1991 were converted into PPJT Surabaya - Gresik, Act No. 09 dated December 9, 2012. The concession agreement is then poured into Minutes of Agreement No. BA.351 / BPJT / KE / HK.02.03 / 2012 dated July 3, 2012 on the Amendment to Concession Agreement (PKP) to Toll Road Concession Agreement (concession agreement) for the segment Surabaya - Gresik. PT. MBMR has already completed the work of reconstruction, widening and maintenance of toll road Surabaya-Gresik is as follows:

1. Addition of lane segments Kebomas - Manyar along 3.4 km of the original 2-way 2 lanes (2D / 2L) into a 2-way four-lane (2D / 4L) to comply with Article 6 (1) e .d and Government Regulation No. 15 Year 2005 regarding Toll Road, which is the number of lanes of at - least two (2) lanes per direction and use the middle or median separators,

2. Improvement and widening (additional lanes) Railway bridge Km 7 + 500 along 968 m of the original 2-way four-lane (2D / 4L) becomes 2-way 6 lanes (2D / 6L)

3. Repair (reconstruction) pile slab of Km 1 + 750 - Km 11 + 900 along the 10.15 km.

"BPJT has conducted an examination of the work and declared eligible functions and operational feasibility, as well as PT MBMR has fulfilled its obligations in compliance with the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) Toll Road accordance with the provisions in Article 6.1.4 PPJT and Candy PU No. 392 / PRT / M / 2005 on the SPM Toll Road, as amended by Candy PU No. 16 / PRT / M / 2014 ", explains Mr. Kornel.

With the completion of repair work, additional lanes, and widening of the Decree of the Minister of Public Works No. 242 / KPTS / M / 2012 dated August 13, 2012 set its application to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing No. 643 / KPTS / M / 2014 dated December 16, 2014 on the Application Rates Toll At Toll Road Surabaya - Gresik and effective starting on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 00:00 pm.
