Jakarta - As of August 19, 2021 at 00.00 WIB, tariff adjustments will be imposed on four sections of the Trans Java Toll Road, namely Pemalang-Batang Toll Road, Batang-Semarang Toll Road, Solo-Ngawi Toll Road, and Pasuruan-Probolinggo Toll Road. The four toll roads are managed by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), which is a subsidiary of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk and Waskita Toll Road.

With the implementation of the tariff adjustment on the four sections of the Trans Java Toll Road, as a simulation, the trip for road users with class I vehicles from Jakarta to Surabaya, which originally paid a tariff of Rp. ,41%. The total tariff paid is the cumulative of a number of transactions at the barrier/main Toll Gate (GT), for example from Jakarta to Surabaya via GT Cikampek Utama, GT Palimanan Utama, GT Kalikangkung and GT Warugunung.

The legal basis for tariff adjustments on four toll roads is based on the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) as follows:

1. Pemalang-Batang Toll Road in accordance with PUPR Ministerial Decree No. 817/KPTS/M/2021 dated June 23, 2021 concerning Adjustment of Toll Tariffs on the PemalangBatang Toll Road;

2. Batang-Semarang Toll Road in accordance with PUPR Ministerial Decree No. 777/KPTS/M/2021 dated June 16, 2021 concerning Adjustment of Toll Tariffs on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road;

3. The Solo-Ngawi Toll Road in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of PUPR No. 820/KPTS/M/2021 dated June 25, 2021 concerning the Determination of the Types of Motorized Vehicles and the Amount of Interchange Toll Tariffs for Adi Sumarmo and Sragen Airports on the Solo-Mantingan-Ngawi Toll Road and Adjustment of Toll Tariffs on the Solo-Mantingan-Ngawi Toll Road; and

4. Pasuruan-Probolinggo Toll Road in accordance with PUPR Ministerial Decree No. 903/KPTS/M/2021 dated July 26, 2021 concerning Adjustment of Toll Tariffs on the Pasuruan-Probolinggo Toll Road Sections I-III (IC Grati – IC Probolinggo Timur).

The adjustment of toll rates has been regulated in Article 48 paragraph (3) of Law (UU) Number 38 of 2004 concerning Roads and Article 68 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation (PP) Number 15 of 2005 concerning Toll Roads, as amended several times, lastly with PP Number 30 of 2017 concerning the Third Amendment to PP Number 15 of 2005 concerning Toll Roads. Based on the regulation, evaluation and adjustment of toll rates is carried out every two years based on the effect of the inflation rate.

Toll tariff adjustments are also needed to ensure a conducive toll road investment climate, maintain investor and market players' confidence in the prospective toll road industry in Indonesia, and ensure the level of service for toll road managers remains in accordance with the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) for toll roads.

The Pemalang-Batang Toll Road is managed by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) PT Pemalang Batang Toll Road, the Batang-Semarang Toll Road is managed by the BUJT PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang, the Solo-Ngawi Toll Road is managed by the BUJT PT Jasamarga Solo Ngawi, and the Pasuruan Toll Road -Probolinggo is managed by BUJT PT Trans Jawa Paspro Toll Road.
