Jakarta - The Jakarta - Cikampek II (Elevated) Toll Road stretches for 38 Km and was inaugurated on 12 December 2019 by President Joko Widodo accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono. The Jakarta - Cikampek II (Elevated) Toll Road has been operated publicly for Class I vehicles (non-bus and non-truck) since 15 December 2019, and the tariff has not been applied (Free) until the specified time limit to support the smooth flow of vehicle traffic on the celebration of the Christmas holidays 2019 and the upcoming 2020 New Year.

Head of BPJT Ministry of PUPR Danang Parikesit said that the elevated toll road network has been designed with standards that have been determined. "Japek II (Elevated) Toll Road can already be used by the community, and is in accordance with road safety and security standards," said Danang.

The Jakarta - Cikampek II (Elevated) Toll Road is the longest overpass in Indonesia that stretches long from the Cikunir Junction area to West Karawang and crosses some of the existing crossing buildings in the form of Overpass, People Crossing Bridge (JPO), or Simpang Susun on the Jakarta Toll Road - Existing Cikampek. So that the construction has been made an adjustment in the form of elevation of the elevation of the elevated structure while still paying attention to the quality of compliance with applicable technical requirements and requirements.

Danang added that taking into account the design speed of the Jakarta-Cikampek II (Elevated) toll road is 80 km / hr, the vertical alignment design for the elevation of the elevated structure referred to has a maximum vertical slope of 3%, so that it meets the provisions 4% maximum vertical slope requirement for the design speed of 80 km / h,
including compliance with the provisions of visibility of vehicle stops, which is a minimum of 110 meters.

In addition, related to structural aspects, the construction of the Jakarta - Cikampek II (Elevated) Toll Road has been carried out with a loading test and design that has received approval from the Bridge and Tunnel Road Safety Commission.

In addition, this elevated toll road has been equipped with safety features in the form of emergency U-turn at 8 location points and 113 CCTV monitors directly, and will be equipped with other safety features which include Emergency Exit Ramp in 2 locations, to Emergency Parking Bay in 4 location points to be determined.

"The Jakarta - Cikampek II (Elevated) Toll Road is also equipped with a Single Call Center feature that is at telephone number 14080. This Single Call Center has also been implemented in all toll roads in Indonesia, this is done to provide driver and information first aid. about the toll road that is crossed, "said Danang.

The Japek Layang Toll Road construction project was carried out by the contractor PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk together with PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (Joint Operation) with an investment of Rp 16.23 trillion. Its operations are carried out by PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) Toll Road Business Entity (JJC) which is a subsidiary of PT. Jasa Marga.
