Launching of the 2020 BPJT Annual Report Book “Toll Road Transformation, Knitting the Archipelago”
Bekasi – In a series of events for the 16th anniversary of BPJT, BPJT has also launched the 2020 BPJT annual report with the theme “Toll Road Transformation, Sewing the Archipelago” which is a performance report to the Minister of PUPR and comprehensive information to relevant stakeholders regarding the achievements of toll road infrastructure development. during 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Even though the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been felt since April 2020 until the peak of traffic declines on toll roads in August, all BUJT partners continue to work hard to carry out the construction and operation of toll roads in accordance with the Health protocol that has been instructed by the Minister of PUPR. as well as technical engineering guidance provided by the Director General of Highways as well as financing policies by the Director General of Infrastructure Financing.
Head of BPJT Danang Pairkesit said the second period of President Joko Widodo's leadership also marked the fourth stage in the evolution of toll road development in Indonesia. The first period 1978 – 2004 is the initiation period, the second period 2004 – 2014 is the regulatory and institutional consolidation period, the third period 2014 – 2019 is the acceleration period, and the 2019 – 2024 period is the period where Transformation, Innovation and Modernization, or TIM is carried out.
"Therefore, the 2019-2024 BPJT management adopts TIM or Transformation, Innovation and Modernization as 3 main strategies to achieve the PUPR Strategic Plan and PUPR Vision targets," said Danang.
The preparation of this book cannot be separated from the support and cooperation of the contributors to writing the yearbook, namely Agus Prabowo as Deputy Director of UNDP Indonesia, Mrs. Ari Yuriwin, Director General of Land Procurement, Ministry of ATR/BPN for the 2016-2020 period, the Electronic Payment System Payment System Team of Bank Indonesia Mr. Hernowo and Mr. Apep. Cs, Mr. Harold Ciptajaya from Mandiri Sekuritas, Mr. Chairman of the Indonesian Toll Road Association (ATI), Mr. Subakti Syukur, along with all ATI management, all officials and employees within BPJT.
The preparation of this book also cannot be separated from the touch of the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono both from the artistic side and the substance of the material. It seems to be in line with the work spirit of "artistic spirit", in addition to the work guidelines of employees at the Ministry of PUPR, which are to work hard, move quickly, and act appropriately in managing and developing the Toll Road network in Indonesia. With this book, we also continue to have the motivation to serve, perform, and have integrity for an advanced Indonesia. This book has an ISBN so that it can be a scientific reference for academics.
Along the way, of course, this development cannot be separated from the hard work of many parties, starting from toll road business partners, other relevant ministries/agencies, especially the Ministry of ATR/BPN in the process of providing land and the Ministry of Finance in providing land acquisition funds, Bank Indonesia to encourage the non-cash payment system as well as the Coordinating Ministry for Investment and the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy in the process of coordinating the implementation of toll road development targets.
The focus of BPJT's achievements is not only placed on the physical achievement of road infrastructure and the financial performance of the BUJT company, but more so on improving business processes and the investment climate, as well as transparency and accountability in the performance of organizations and human resources working at BPJT. This year, according to the encouragement of the Secretary General of PUPR, we started the process towards the integrity zone in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of PAN/RB with a management system and quality assurance, as well as risk management that is “comply” to ISO 9001 and ISO 31000.
Thus BPJT will always be a trusted partner to ensure reliable public services and increase direct investment in the road infrastructure sector. The legacy that we will build BPJT is a work culture and culture of integrity as well as public and business trust in toll road concessions in Indonesia. We hope this is in line with the message from the Minister of PUPR when we were inaugurated, namely the two principles of personal relations at work, namely "trust" and "loyalty". (BPJT/Dms)
