Inauguration of Ngawi Kertosono Toll Road - Section I, II and III: Ngawi - Wilangan By President RI Joko Widodo
Located in Madiun, East Java, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo inaugurated Toll Road Ngawi - Kertosono Section I, II and III: Ngawi - Wilangan (29/03). Accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani and East Java Governor Soekarwo
Ngawi – Wilangan Toll Road Section I, II and III has a length of 49.51 KM which is part of Toll Road Ngawi - Kertosono. Toll Road Ngawi - Kertosono has a total length of 87.02 KM and is divided into 4 sections, namely: Section 1 Ngawi - Madiun along 20 KM, Section 2 Madiun - Caruban has a length of 8.45 KM, Section 3 Caruban - Wilangan with a length of 21 , 06 KM and Section 4 Wilangan - Kertosono along 37.51 KM. Currently section 4 is still under construction.
The 3.83 Trillion toll road is expected to bring an important role in the distribution of goods and services affecting the economic sector in Indonesia, especially Java Island. And expected to help people who want to avoid traffic jams in the arterial road, during this toll road season is expected to break down the congestion caused by increased vehicle volume on the national road.
The operation of Toll Road Ngawi - Kertosono further adds to the long list of Trans Java (Merak - Banyuwangi) megaproject development which is included in the target of the construction of the 1,800 km toll road until 2019.
The completion of the construction of the Ngawi-Kertosono Toll Road is of particular concern to the government of President Joko Widodo. Together with the Ministry of PUPR, the President continues to closely monitor the construction of this toll road.
Ngawi Toll Road Concession - Kertosono implemented by PT. Ngawi Kertosono Jaya (NKJ) which is a subsidiary of PT. Jasa Marga (Persero). The composition of PT NKJ's share ownership is PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk 60% and PT. Waskita Toll Road 40%. The Toll Road Concession Agreement was signed on June 28, 2011. The concession period of the Ngawi - Kertosono Toll Road concession is 35 years from the issuance of the Construction Beginning Order (SPMK) by the Toll Road Regulatory Agency.
