Trans Java Toll Road Targets Can Be Used Christmas and New Year
The Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) targets Trans Java Toll Road from Merak to Pasuruan to be used in the 2018 and 2019 New Year's Holiday Season. In order to improve the smoothness of the Christmas holiday and the new year will be offset by the addition of a temporary rest area
In addition, in order to develop a more balanced region between the North Coast (Pantura) and the South Coast (Pansela) of Java, the PUPR Ministry will build several new toll roads such as Gedebage - Tasikmalaya - Cilacap Toll Road and Semarang - Demak Toll Road.
Gedebage - Tasikmalaya - Cilacap toll road initiated by PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk and PT Daya Mulia Turangga have a length of 184 Km. The toll road with an investment value of 46.60 Trillions is targeted to be operational by 2023.
Meanwhile, Semarang-Demak toll road will also start its tender on Thursday August 9, 2018. This toll road has a length of 26.80 Km with an investment cost of 15.3 trillion.
Another effort by the Government to improve the national road network system is to reduce some railway crossings, through the construction of Tonjong Ring Road on Prupuk-Bumiayu-Purwokerto segment, and Underpass Karang Sawah will be completed by 2018. Development of flyover to break down congestion at the train crossing will be prioritized in 2019 such as the Kroya flyover that exists between the Purwokerto to Cilacap segments.
The Ministry of PUPR continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Transportation, Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian Police and the Toll Road Enterprises (BUJT) to realize the 2018 and 2019 New Year's Holiday seasons that are safe and comfortable for the people.
