Jakarta - The Head of the PUPR Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Danang Parikesit said that during the upcoming Lebaran 2019 flow, after the operation and functioning of the toll roads in the Java and Sumatra regions, the public could really feel the presence of a toll road that was far more comfortable and secure.
"With the presence of the toll road that has been built, it is expected that vehicle traffic when going back and forth can be much more organized, besides that it can also be faster in reducing travel time. Safety is more important, so people can get to their respective destinations to celebrate holidays with family, "said Danang.
Danang also said, in supporting the implementation of a comfortable and safe mudik there are three things that must be considered. First, that is, you must pay attention to driving safety. Second, obey the existing traffic rules, and Third, make sure the vehicle to be used must be in good condition.
"If all three of these things have been carried out, inshaallah everything will run smoothly according to the purpose. With the intensity of a very short travel time during the mudik flow celebration, the level of driving safety will definitely be greater. It is also necessary to maintain the body's resistance so that stamina is maintained, because it will avoid fatigue and danger of accidents, "said Danang.
In order to realize the "Happy Guyub Rukun Rukun" in 2019, Danang added, the Ministry of PUPR has coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation, Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police, Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) and other institutions in improving preparation and smooth implementation going home.
Availability of Rest Area
Danang added, with the support of the rest area equipped with every supporting facility in it, it became an important part in undergoing Lebaran homecoming activities this year. "Like the fuel filling support, the availability of toilets is quite good and a comfortable resting place, I think that makes travelers quite confident," said Danang.
Regarding the availability of the Rest Area in supporting the smooth running of Lebaran 2019, the Trans Java Toll Road has provided 68 rest area units spread out at each stop point from Merak to Surabaya. Of these, it is divided into 31 Type A rest areas, 25 Type B rest areas, and 12 Type C rest areas.
In the rest area Type A, toilet facilities, vehicle parking, ATM centers, mosques / mosques, gas stations, food courts, minimarkets, standby workshops, health clinics and open spaces are provided. For the rest area Type B provided Toilet, Vehicle Parking, ATM Center, Mosque / Mosque, Minimarket, Food Court, and Open Space. Then in the rest area Type C is provided Toilet facilities, Vehicle Parking, Mosque, and Stalls / Stalls.
Furthermore, in supporting the smooth flow of homecoming in the Sumatra region, Trans Sumatra Toll Roads are also provided in various areas in each toll road area. On the Medan - Binjai toll road, there are 3 resting stops, the Palembang - Indralaya toll road has 3 rest areas, the Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung toll road section has also prepared 12 rest areas. Each rest area is equipped with facilities for the mosque, toilets and mobile toilets, gas stations, mobile gas stations, and electronic money top-ups.
The addition of mobile toilets, Mobile SPBU, operational service officers and traffic management officers was also mobilized to overcome the buildup of travelers around the Rest Area. Furthermore, CCTV camera cameras have been installed for security monitoring purposes in the rest area. (ADCA)
