The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) realizes the importance of being committed and caring for the surrounding environment so as to create beauty and beauty by continuing to keep it together.

One of the commitments of the Ministry of PUPR towards environmental awareness is to continue to play an active role in planting trees in PUPR infrastructure projects such as rivers, reservoirs, flat, roads and toll roads. In commemorating World Water Day (HAD) in 2019 the Ministry of PUPR carried out the planting of 160 bungur tree seedlings at the Cigombong 1 Interchange, Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road led by the PUPR Ministry Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Advisor Ms. Kartika Basuki, Tuesday (3/26 )

"The tree planting activity on the Bogor-Ciawi Toll Road aims to beautify or beautify the toll road, in addition it aims to increase the area and quality of green open space as an ecological essential function that can be enjoyed by all people. I leave the trees planted to the manager of the Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road to be treated and continue to add tree planting in other empty areas, "said Ibu Kartika Basuki

The Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), Mr. Danang Parikesit, who was present at the tree planting event said that tree planting along the toll road had a good impact on increasing soil strengthening and holding water so it would not overflow.

"With reforestation, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of the views on the toll road for toll road users, which is associated with a decrease in the number of accidents. There is data that concludes that the toll road visually is in good condition, the risk of the accident is also getting lower, "said Mr. Danang Parikesit.

Mr. Danang Parikesit also hopes that all Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) as toll road managers can make tree planting along the toll road a massive movement. BUJT can also invite the surrounding community to do this movement together - so that in about two years along the toll road it has good visuals to reduce the risk of accidents and also help the availability of water in the ground.

Also attending the event were BPJT Members of the Ministry of PUPR Agita Widjajanto, Chair of the DWP Ministry of PUPR Erna Danis Sumadilaga, Chairperson of the Pillar Ms. Waskita Gusti Ayu Raka Putra, President Director of PT Waskita Toll Road, Managing Director of Trans Jabar Tol, and elementary school children 02 Cigombong.
