The Presence of Toll Roads on Four Islands Ready to Be Crossed at Lebaran 2019 Mudik Flow

Jakarta - Towards the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1440 Hijri which falls in June 2019, the Trans Java Toll Road, Trans Sumatra Toll Road, Toll Road in the Kalimantan and Sulawesi regions are ready to be crossed on the implementation of Lebaran 2019 homecoming. The presence of this toll road facilitates accessibility of vehicle mobilization travelers who cross to the hometown of the four islands.

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) has completed the construction of the Trans Java Toll Road from Merak to Probolinggo which has been connected, which is 964 Km long, divided from the Tangerang - Merak toll road along (73 Km) , Jakarta - Tangerang (27 Km), Tomang - Cawang (12.8 Km), Jakarta - Cikampek (72 Km), Cikampek - Palimanan (116 Km), Palimanan - Kanci (26 Km), Kanci - Pejagan (35 Km) , Pejagan - Pemalang (57.5 Km), Pemalang - Batang (39 Km), Batang - Semarang (75 Km), and Semarang Section A & B (14 Km).

Furthermore, the Semarang - Solo toll road (72.6 Km), Solo - Ngawi (90.1 Km), Ngawi - Kertosono (87 Km), Kertosono - Mojokerto (40.5 Km), Surabaya - Mojokerto (34 Km), Surabaya - Gempol section Waru - Gempol (27 Km), Gempol - Pandaan section Gempol IC - Gempol JC (2 Km), Gempol - Pasuruan (34.2 Km), and Pasuruan - Probolinggo Timur (31.3 Km). For the Pandaan - Malang toll road section I - III along the 30.6 Km linking the Surabaya - Malang region, when Lebaran 2019 is planned to operate functionally without tariffs.

While the Toll Road in Sumatra Island in supporting the Lebaran mudik flow in 2019, namely the Trans Sumatra Toll Road Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar section has been operating for 140.41 Km, Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung planned to be functional (189.20 Km). Furthermore, the Palembang - Indralaya toll road (21.93 Km), Helvetia - Binjai Medan - Binjai Section II and III (10.46 Km), Medan - Binjai Section I Helvetia Segment - Jl. Veteran operates functional (2.8 Km), Medan - Kualanamu - Tebing Tinggi (62.11 Km), Belawan - Medan - Tanjung Morawa (42.7 Km).

The Ministry of PUPR with the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) has prepared 159 toll gates ranging from Merak to Probolinggo which consist of 1,341 toll booths. Payments are made through the Non-Cash (Electronic Money) transaction system and toll road transaction system integration. In each toll booth, it is also planned to be equipped with mobile top up facilities and the sale of the first Electronic Money card.

As long as 55 Transjakarta toll road sections (Mer Area) have been provided, divided into 25 Type B and 30 Type A Rest Areas. Rest Area Type B itself is equipped with facilities such as an ATM Center with toll card refill facilities. , toilets, stalls or kiosks, minimarkets, prayer rooms, restaurants, green open spaces, and parking facilities. While for Type A equipped with the same facilities as Type B with the addition of health clinics, workshops, and general fueling stations (gas stations).

Each toll road Rest Area is also supported by the development and marketing of regional local economic products through micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) visited by travelers, so that they are not only filled with foreign products. For example in the rest area of KM 538 Sragen-Ngawi Toll Road, which is dominated by local culinary such as Soto Kwali, Lontong Opor, Soto Madura, Baso Malang and local coffee.

In an effort to anticipate congestion at the toll road construction site, a temporary suspension of toll road construction will be carried out on D-10 Eid to H + 10 Eid, and restrictions on heavy vehicles on the peak day of traffic flow. In addition, travelers are also expected to maintain cleanliness along the toll road, comply with regulations and safeguard traffic flow.

The Ministry of PUPR also coordinates with the Ministry of Transportation, Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police, Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) and other institutions in increasing preparation to implementation in realizing "Homecoming Together Guyub Rukun 2019".

In addition to the Trans Java and Trans Sumatra toll roads, toll roads in the Sulawesi region that have been operating are Ujung Pandang Parts I and II (6.05 Km) and Makassar Section IV (11.6 Km). Then for those who functioned in supporting the implementation of Lebaran 2019 homecoming, namely the Manado - Bitung toll road (Sukur. Ss. Kauditan) for 18 Km. Then the toll roads in the Kalimantan region are the Balikpapan - Samarinda toll road section 1-3 which is also functioned as long as 70.5 Km. (ADCA)
