Pasuruan - Probolinggo Toll Road Tariff Adjustment on August 19, 2021 at 00.00 WIB
Bekasi - Effective August 19, 2021, at 00.00 WIB, a new tariff will be applied on the Pasuruan - Probolinggo Toll Road section. The tariff adjustment for the Pasuruan – Probolinggo Toll Road has been determined based on the Decree of the Minister of PUPR No. 903/KPTS/M/2021.
Toll road tariff adjustments have been stipulated in Law no. 38 of 2004 concerning Roads. Article 48 paragraph 3 states that the evaluation and adjustment of toll rates is carried out every 2 years based on the effect of the inflation rate.
With this tariff adjustment, it is hoped that the Pasuruan – Probolinggo Toll Road which is managed by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) PT Transjawa Paspro Toll Road can further improve the quality, safety, and comfort, and service for road users.
The determination and adjustment of this integrated toll rate was approved after the PUPR Ministry team conducted an audit of the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) strictly covering road conditions, average travel speed, accessibility, mobility and user safety. The Pasuruan – Probolinggo Toll Road also has four type B rest areas, one each on the left and right lanes.
The Pasuruan - Probolinggo Toll Road is 31.3 km long which consists of 3 sections, namely Section I Grati Pasuruan - Tongas (13.5 km), Section II Tongas - West Probolinggo (6.9 km) and Section III West Probolinggo - Probolinggo Timur ( 10.9 km). The presence of this toll road further reduces the driving time from the previous 2.5 hours to only 30 minutes in the Pasuruan to Probolinggo area and vice versa.
With the faster travel time through one of the barrier-free connectivity in East Java, the potential for community economic growth, as well as an increase in the tourism, agriculture, and industrial sectors, are also supported by the toll road.
This toll road supports access to the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) tourist area. In addition, it will also facilitate access to logistics loading and unloading activities around the Tanjung Tembaga Port area in Probolinggo.
The Pasuruan – Probolinggo Toll Road is one of the backbones of the Trans Java Toll Road which also supports the accessibility of the mobility of goods, services, and logistics which are also connected to the City of Surabaya, Pasuruan and Probolinggo Regency. (BPJT/Dms)
