President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo on Sunday (10/9) inaugurates the Jombang - Mojokerto toll road in Jombang, East Java. In the inauguration, the President was accompanied by Minister PUPR M. Basuki Hadimuljono and East Java Governor Soekarwo.

President of Republic of Indonesia in his speech said that infrastructure is a fundamental foundation and a priority. Speed in infrastructure development will complement connectivity across the country, increasing competitiveness with foreign countries. "Fundamental things to be resolved, especially in the logistics channels so that the economy also increases. With the inauguration of Jombang - Mojokerto Toll Road hopefully can be benefited by the community directly ", added President RI.

The Kertosono - Mojokerto Toll Road Concession Agreement was signed on June 30, 2006 which was amended on June 28, 2011. The concession of Kertosono - Mojokerto toll road is implemented by PT. Marga Harjaya Infrastruktur with shareholders of PT Astratel Nusantara (95%) and PT Transutama Arya Sejahtera (5%) with a concession period of 45 years from the issuance of the Working Letter to Work.

The operation of Jombang - Mojokerto toll road is done gradually. Section I (Bandar - Jombang) along 14.41 KM operates in 2014, following section III (Mojokerto Barat - North Mojokerto along 5.02 KM operating in November 2016. Section II (Jombang - Mojokerto Barat) along the 19.9 KM has just been unveiled.

The development of this toll using environmentally friendly development methods. Construction of Brantas River main bridge using Balanced Cantilever method so that the bridge pillar in the middle of river can be removed. The high enough bridge is a total length of 1.2 km.

To improve comfort, Jombang - Mojokerto toll road is also equipped with 4 rest area facilities located at km 679 and km 695 in both directions for rest and worship.
