Construction Progress Reaches 45.98%, South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road Package 3 (Taman Mekar – Sadang)

Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) continues to accelerate the completion of the construction of the South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road which is managed by PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan.

Currently, the construction progress of the South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road Section 3 (Taman Mekar – Sadang) has reached 45.98%, targeted to be completed in early 2022. The progress of land acquisition has also reached 86.82% progress.

The South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road has a length of 64 Km consisting of 3 sections, namely Section 1 Jati Asih to Setu (Sta 0+000 - Sta 9+300) along 9.3 Km, this segment is included in the Bekasi City area and Regency. Bogor.

Section 2 of Setu leads to Taman Mekar (Sta 9+300 - Sta 34+150) along 24.85 Km, entering the Kab. Bekasi. Then Section 3 from Taman Mekar to Sadang (Sta 34+150 - Sta 64+000) for 27.85 Km, enters the Kab. Karawang and Kab. Purwakarta.

The South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road from Sadang (Purwakarta Regency) to Setu (Bekasi Regency) will be integrated with the Purbaleunyi Toll Road network and JORR 2 Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road. Following section 2 will be completed in 2022 and section 3 will also be completed in 2023.

Currently PT JJS also continues to support efforts to accelerate land acquisition carried out by the Commitment Making Officer Team (PPK) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing in identifying land acquisition problems in the field. In addition, PT JJS also continues to coordinate with related parties to minimize obstacles so that physical development can be accelerated.

Overall, the South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road can cut travel time from Jakarta to Purwakarta and has seven Interchanges.

Later, after fully operating, the South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road with an investment of Rp. 14.69 trillion and a concession period of 35 years can cut the travel time from Jakarta to Cikampek from the south side.

The South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road crosses 37 different villages and sub-districts in Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency, Bogor Regency, Karawang Regency, and Purwakarta Regency. Later, by connecting this toll road, it can increase mobility and reduce logistics costs for the distribution of goods from the areas that the toll road passes. (BPJT/Dms)
