Inauguration Highway Cikopo - palimanan

President Joko Widodo inaugurated the operation of the Toll Road Cikopo palimanan on Saturday, June 13, 2015.

 

116.75 kilometer toll road is the longest toll road in Indonesia and is part of the Trans Java toll road system. Toll Road Cikopo palimanan across five districts in West Java, namely Purwakarta, Subang, Indramayu, Majalengka and Cirebon.

 

PT Lintas Marga Sedaya (LMS) as the concession holder Toll Road Cikopo palimanan for 35 years, is a toll road business entity whose shares are owned by PT Baskhara Utama Sedaya (45%), a national investment company, and PLUS Expressways International Berhad (55% ) which is a toll road leading company in Malaysia.

 

Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono said, the operation of the Toll Road palimanan Cikopo very important in supporting local and national economic development, because it can increase the effectiveness and efficiency in the business world. With adequate infrastructure, the cost of production, transportation, communications, and logistics more efficient. The operation of this toll road will also reduce the current density of traffic through the northern coast line between 40% -60%, so the current Lebaran this year we expect will go more smoothly.

 

PUPR Minister continued that due to the importance of this highway, Mr. President himself taking the time to review the development in December and ordered that this highway can operate for flow Lebaran 2015. The Government highly appreciates the hard work PT Lintas Marga Sedaya achieved this Mr. President of the expectations.

 

Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), Ir. Achmad Gani Ghazaly Akman, said that following an evaluation by the Government, the initial toll rates for highways Cikopo palimanan set at Rp 823 / km for vehicles class I. In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of PUPR, after the inauguration, the highway will be open to socialize without Rates for a minimum of 7 days and is intended for the vehicle class I.

 

Deputy Director of LMS, Mr. Hudaya Arryanto said the completion of the construction of toll roads Cikopo palimanan is testimony to the commitment and hard work of companies that are fully supported by stakeholders. Mr Hudaya expressed his appreciation and thanks for their support, especially the Ministry of PUPR, BPJT, Local Government, and other stakeholders including the consortium of banks, shareholders, contractors, consultants and the parties to allow the construction of toll roads Cikopo palimanan completed sooner.

 

PT LMS start construction work since February 2013. The work can be completed more quickly so that the Toll Road Cikopo palimanan can be operated earlier than the original plan is August 2015.

 

In the implementation of toll road construction Cikopo palimanan, PT LMS has created jobs for the local community and will give priority to local community participation in the operation of toll roads. Mr Hudaya explain, to encourage the creation of economic impacts for communities around the toll, LMS has invited businessmen to participate in the northern coast line opened outlets in the rest area on Highway Cikopo palimanan. Toll Road Cikopo palimanan which consists of six sections will have 8 rest area, 7 entrances, and seven interchanges.

 

"Personnel, equipment and vehicles operational services Cikopo palimanan Toll Road is ready, and the motorway will be opened to vehicle class I at 00:00 pm on June 14, 2015", said Mr. Hudaya.
