Groundbreaking Ujung Pandang Section 3 Toll Road (Lebaran Toll Road A.P. Pettarani) and Inauguration of Simpang Mandai Underpass by Minister of PUPR
To parse vehicle density in Makasar city on Thursday (19/10) began the construction of Lippo Toll Road A.P. Pettarani and and Inauguration of Simpang Mandai Underpass by Minister of PUPR. In the event held at Jenderal Urip Sumoharjo Street, Makasar, Minister of PUPR, Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono was accompanied by the Governor of South Sulawesi, Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
Ujung Pandang Toll Road is implemented by Toll Road Enterprises PT. Bosowa Marga Nusantara. The Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT) of Ujung Pandang was signed on 31 August 2010 with the addition of Ujung Pandang Section 3 Toll Road (Lebaran Toll Road A.P. Pettarani).
The concession to be operated by PT. Bosowa Marga Nusantara is along 10.35 km, that is for Port segment - Jl. Sultan Alauddin includes a 3 km section, TCP Portway (Interchange Talo - A.P. Pettarani) along the 3.05 km, and Section 3 (Lebaran Highway A.P. Pettarani) along 4.30 km.
The existence of Pettarani overpass as part of Ujung Pandang Toll Road is highly expected to be one of the land transportation solutions as the transportation of logistics supporting national economic growth, especially in order to overcome congestion and support the mobility of goods and services in Makassar.
The construction of the Pettarani overpass will cross the national road, Andi Pangerang Pettarani, so there is no need for land acquisition costs.
In addition to Groundbreaking Jalan Tol Layang Pettarani, the Minister of PUPR also inaugurated the Simpang Mandai Underpass. Underpass which has been built in 2015 with financing using State Budget (APBN) multiyears fiscal year 2015-2017 of Rp. 174 M.
Underpass Simpang Mandai has a length of 1.050 KM and is expected to overcome the frequent congestion at the intersection of Mandai as a result of vehicle meetings from Makassar City to Maros Regency and Sultan Hasanudin Airport, and vice versa.
