Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono was present in his speech saying, "Transformation, Innovation, and Modernization of the implementation of Toll Roads in Indonesia, which is the guideline for the BPJT of the Ministry of PUPR, has so far provided many achievements.
"Until now (June 2021), 2,391 km of toll roads have been operating. For the 2015-2019 period, 1,298 km of toll roads have been operating, then from 2020 to 2024 we will build 2,700 km of new toll roads to be built. We continue to work hard to achieve that target," said Minister Basuki.
Minister Basuki said, in its implementation, it is not only building toll roads but also serving the community in the movement of toll roads that are comfortable to use, although now the movement of toll road operations is limited by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This service is not only in terms of fulfilling tariff adjustments related to inflation, but also in terms of toll road investment services. I monitor directly to speed up the investment process.
Minister Basuki hopes that in the future the process will not complicate or not extend the node for the operation of toll roads in Indonesia. But continue to improve services to BUJT through the Indonesian Toll Association (ATI). The presence of the ATI organization can be evidence of its service to toll road investors and other investors with the aim of truly serving investors in a better, smoother, and timely manner.
“As directed by President Jokowi, the competition is not big or small but fast and slow. So, the speed of service is a benchmark in its implementation," said Minister Basuki.
Minister Basuki added that the establishment of the Ministry of Investment was aimed at facilitating investment. In this case, not only investment, economic growth, but also job creation for the community. “BPJT must also be able to provide better service to BUJT. Service is not always indulgent, but sustainable toll road development is the benchmark," he added.
Minister Basuki said, organizations within the PUPR Ministry have a corporate culture, namely First, Mission Oriente. ATI Secretary General Kris Ade Sudiyono representing ATI and its staff added that BPJT and BUJT continue to carry out the continuity of the development process with all stakeholders through processes, endeavors, and creative ways to achieve toll road targets in Indonesia.
"The service process is also not completed only during construction, it also needs to improve the investment climate and business certainty. All of them require the sustainability of a business model that has been used and is running effectively. The BPJT of the PUPR Ministry and the Indonesian Toll Association (ATI) are not just partners that are needed, we all continue to learn to know and be smarter," he added.
