Commemorating Nyepi Day, Bali Mandara Toll Road Is Closed For 32 Hours
The Bali Mandara Toll Road that connects Nusa Dua, Benoa and I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport will be closed during the celebration of Nyepi Day. The closing is done for 32 hours starting from Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 23.00 WITA and will be reopened on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 07.00 WITA.
The closure of the toll road operation was carried out as a follow-up to the Letter of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number BM.07.02-Mn / 489 dated March 5, 2019 concerning Permit for Toll Road Closure in the Context of Nyepi Day.
This temporary closure was carried out provided that permanent toll roads could be used for emergencies such as the operation of ambulances, fire engines, and others. However, the use of toll roads in emergency situations still receives assistance from pecalang (customary security officers). In addition, PT Jasamarga Bali Tol as a Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) also prepares cleaners around the ceremony location and toll road ambulance to support the smooth implementation of Nyepi Day.
