BPJT Receives Visit of Myanmar Delegation
Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Ministry of PUPR received a visit from the delegation of the Ministry of Construction of Myanmar accompanied by JICA in their study to Indonesia with the theme of Increasing Capacity in Road and Bridge Technology, Friday (11/01). The visit of the Myanmar Ministry of Construction is related to discussing policies on toll roads including the Government's Cooperation with Business Entities in the provision of special infrastructure for toll roads in Indonesia. Head of BPJT, Herry Trisaputra Zuna received the visit in the BPJT meeting room accompanied by Professional Elementary BPJT Members, Koentjahjo Pamboedi, Head of Investment, Sudiro Roi Santoso, staff in the BPJT, JICA invitations and PT. Marga Trans Nusantara (PT. MTN).
During the meeting, the Head of the BPJT explained the direction of the toll road PPP sector, one of which was the new PPP, namely BOT, Supporting Toll Roads (S-BOT), Performance Based Annuity Schemes (PBAS), Assignments for BUMNs, and Construction Contracts. The Ministry of Construction of Myanmar represented by Ms. Thazin Khin Mg San explained the current policy of Government Cooperation with Business Entities in the Road sector in Myanmar having a Road to Increase Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT Scheme) with a total length of 4866 km since 1996. It could be in 45 years and could be extended for 10 years.
The participating visit saw the Kunciran-Serpong toll road project still under construction accompanied by representatives from BPJT and PT. MTN. Myanmar delegates saw firsthand the progress of construction from the construction of the Kunciran-Serpong Toll Road while the progress of this toll road has now reached 81.67% and is expected to be operational in the Quarter of 2019.
