Visit of Commission V of the House of Representatives Republic Indonesia to Construction of Section 2 of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road

Jakarta - Commission V of the DPR, chaired by Ridwan Bae, made a working visit to one of the JORR 2 toll roads, namely the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road, on Thursday 27 May 2021, accompanied by the Secretary of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR Triono Junoasmono, Director of Freeways. Obstacles from the Directorate General of Highways Budi Harimawan, and the President Director of Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways Thorry Hendrarto.

The Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road with a total length of 25.21 Km consists of 2 sections, namely Section 1 Cimanggis - Jatikarya with a length of 3.17 Km which was operational on October 26, 2020. Section 2 Jatikarya - Junction Cibitung with a length of 22.04 Km.

Currently the construction progress of section 2, Jatikarya - Cibitung Junction is 22.04 km long with construction progress reaching 60.12%. It is targeted that Section 2 will be completed in November 2021.

"It is hoped that this toll road can be completed soon because this toll road is very beneficial for the community, especially for the Cimanggis to Cibitung areas," said Ridwan.

The Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road is planned to have a Rest and Service Area (TIP) or a Type A rest area. This toll road is also part of the Jorr 2 Toll Road series that connects from Cengkareng to Cilincing. In addition, this toll road is one of the support efforts of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program in the Greater Jakarta area and its surroundings.

"Under the leadership of the Minister of PUPR Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono, the construction of toll roads is going well, even making a good contribution to economic turnover. It is proven during the COVID-19 pandemic which has an impact on Indonesia but not as badly as other countries, one of which is supported by toll roads, " said Ridwan.
