Pier Head Screening Using Sosrobahu Technology on Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road Section 2, Speeding Up Solution for Construction Completion and Can Operate Fully in 2020
Jakarta - As one of the solutions to facilitate the acceleration of the construction of toll road construction on already operating roads with a high enough volume of vehicles, the Pier Head is rotated using Sosrobahu technology on the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road section Section 2.
The screening of Pier Head P13 construction using the Sosrobahu method was carried out on Wednesday morning (11/9/19) at 00.05 to 01.05 WIB which was witnessed directly by the Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the PUPR Ministry Danang Parikesit along with the participants of the Conference Of The 37th ASEAN Federation of Engineerings Organizations (CAFEO). Sosrobahu technology was invented by Tjokorda Raka Sukawati, one of Indonesia's talented engineers who continues to be remembered today and is the pride of the Indonesian civil engineering world.
Danang said, after seeing first hand the screening of Pier Head by using Sosrobahu technology which is one of the best works of this nation's children, BPJT Ministry of PUPR is very proud because it is one of the important assets that can be applied throughout construction in Indonesia.
"Seeing the condition of the road being passed by vehicles with a fairly heavy traffic volume, this technology is very suitable and is the right step, so it is expected that the construction of this toll road can be completed quickly and completed on time target. Because later the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road will be connected to the Cibitung - Cilincing toll road which will also be connected to the Cinere - Jagorawi toll road, "said Danang.
Danang said, the existence of the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road is a much awaited access by the community. After the construction of 6 integrated toll roads in the access to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 2 is completed, it is hoped that this will become a solution in overcoming congestion on the already built JORR 1 toll road.
"When this toll road is completed and is fully connected to the JORR 2 toll road and the inner-city toll road, it will produce a solution for smooth transportation in Jabodetabek. Likewise, logistic heavy transport will also pass through this toll access, so that the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road section which is built with the number and width of the 2x3 lane is divided into two directions and each direction consists of 3 lanes, "he added.
Meanwhile, Thorry Hendrarto as President Director of PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (CCT) added, Hope after the construction of the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road, hopefully it will provide great benefits for the people in the Greater Jakarta area. Not only reducing traffic congestion that occurs, cutting travel time, but also can increase economic growth in urban areas.
"For Section I of the Cimanggis Junction - On / Off Ramp section, Jatikarya was completed at the end of 2019 in December, and section II for the Jatikarya - Junction Cibitung On / Off Ramp segment as a whole can be completed by mid 2020," Thorry said.
Pier Head Screening using Sosrobahu Technology on the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road is implemented at 37 Pier Head (18 Sosrobahu). Each Pier Head has a width of 32.8 meters with a maximum weight of 1,200 Tons.
The 25.39 Km Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road is divided into 2 sections, namely Section I of the Cimanggis Junction Section - On / Off Jatikarya Ramp along 3.17 Km and Section II of the Jatikarya - Junction Cibitung On / Off Ramp Section of 22.22 Km, an investment of 4.52 Trillion was built by PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways with PT Waskita Karya as the Managing Contractor.
The application of Sosrobahu technology is a fairly appropriate solution to the difficulty of constructing road construction on roads that are already operating with heavy vehicle volumes. In the construction of the Pier head is done parallel to the road line so it does not require a large free space and after completion of the screening. 29 years ago, for the first time on July 27, 1988, when the Sosrobahu technology or the freeway turnway was used in Indonesia on the Wiyoto-Wiyono Toll Road.
Previously, the Sosrobahu technology was implemented as in the Jakarta-Cikampek II (Japex Elevated II) Flyway construction project, Jakarta Intra Urban Tollway (JIUT) Section Cawang - Tanjung Priuk & Harbor Road. Likewise overseas, which has been implemented in Malaysia in the construction of the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road II, in the Philippines in the construction of Metro Manila Skyway Stage 1, Metro Manila Skyway Stage 2, NAIA Expressway, Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3, Metro Manila Expressway, and in Sri Lanka is in the construction of Acess To The Port, Colombo.
