Construction of the Batang Industrial Area Access Interchange
SobatBPJT - Yesterday, Wednesday (21/4/2021) President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo reviewed developments Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KIT) in Central Java.
The development of the Batang KIT is one of the Government's efforts to realize national economic recovery due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the development of new economic areas in the Batang region in particular and Central Java in general.
President Joko Widodo conveyed that the overall development of KIT Batang covers an area of ??4,300 hectares and is currently almost completed with an area of ??450 hectares and is ready to be used for investment related to technology.
In supporting the acceleration of the development of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate, the Ministry of PUPR through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) has initiated the development of basic infrastructure in an integrated manner such as the interchange connectivity of access to KIT Batang which is connected to the Batang-Semarang Toll Road. Access to KIT Batang was built along 3.1 km, the progress is currently 49.01% and is managed by PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that in the process of building KIT Batang infrastructure, it is expected to make the maximum possible use of local labor and domestic products.
"Infrastructure development using APBN funds must use domestic products, or if products are from outside, we must have a factory here," said Minister Basuki.
