President of Republic Indonesia Joko Widodo Inaugurates Toll Road Surabaya – Mojokerto Toll Road Sections IB, II and III: Sepanjang – Krian.
President of Republic Indonesia Joko Widodo inaugurates Surabaya - Mojokerto Toll Road Section IB, II and III: Sepanjang - Krian (19/12). Located at Warugunung Toll Gate, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo was accompanied by Minister of Public Works and People's Housing, Minister of SOE and Governor of East Java.
Sepanjang – Krian Toll Road has a length of 15.5 KM which is part of Surabaya - Mojokerto Toll Road. Operation of Sepanjang – Krian Toll Road is following two sections that have been operated first, namely Section IA Waru - Sepanjang with a length of 2.3 KM which was inaugurated in August 2011, and Section IV Krian - Mojokerto along 18.47 KM was inaugurated in March 2016.
Surabaya - Mojokerto has a total length of 36.27 KM and consists of 4 sections, namely Section I (Section IA Waru - Sepanjang 2.3 KM) and (Section IB Sepanjang - WRR 4.3 KM), Section II WRR - Driyorejo has a length of 5.1 KM, Section III Driyorejo - Krian with a length of 6.1 KM and Section IV Krian - Mojokerto length 18.47 KM.
This toll road is part of the Trans Java Toll Road (Merak - Banyuwangi) which is included in the target of the construction of the toll road along 1,800 km until 2019.
The presence of the Surabaya - Mojokerto Toll Road Section IB, II and III is expected to help people who want to avoid traffic jams in the arterial road, besides during the toll road season is expected to break down the congestion caused by increased vehicle volume. The concession period of the Surabaya - Mojokerto toll road concession is 42 years since the issuance of the Letter of Order Begin Construction (SPMK) by the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT).
