President Joko Widodo Inaugurates Semarang - Solo Toll Road Bawen - Salatiga Section
President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo inaugurates Semarang - Solo Ruas Bawen - Salatiga Toll Road in Central Java, Monday (25/9).
Previously, the 17.6 KM toll road has been tested for operation without toll tariff since Friday, September 15, 2017 at 16.00 WIB. Operation without tariff as part of socialization to toll road users, either socialization of Bawen - Salatiga, or socialization of transaction system and open system changes into a closed transaction system, in accordance with Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT).
The trial of operation without the above mentioned toll tariff is based on the Certificate of Function of Semarang - Solo Toll Road Section III Bawen - Salatiga from Directorate General of Land Transportation number: AJ.005 / I / 18 / DJPD / 2017 dated 24 August 2017, and Certificate of Operation Feasible Semarang - Solo Toll Road Section III Bawen - Salatiga from Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) number: JL.03.04-P / 339 dated 14 September 2017.

Semarang - Solo Toll Road is managed by PT. Trans Marga Jateng, which is a consortium of PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk., Astra Infra, and PT Sarana Pembangunan Central Java.
Operation section III: Bawen - Salatiga segment completes the operation of section I: Semarang - Ungaran section along 10.85 KM in November 2011 and section II: Ungaran - Bawen along 11.99 KM in April 2014. Currently PT Trans Marga Jateng completing construction of Salatiga - Kartosuro Area, along 32,20 KM, so that the total length of Semarang - Solo Toll Road will be 72,64 KM.
The toll road with an investment value of 7.3 trillion is expected to accelerate the economic flow in the area around the toll. In addition, this toll road is also expected to break down the congestion contained on non-toll roads.
