Eid Mubarak 2018 Service Readiness and Banten Tourism Support On Tangerang Toll Road - Merak
PT. Marga Mandalasakti held a press conference entitled "ASTRA Tol Tangerang - Merak Prepared Lebaran 2018 Service and Banten Tourism Support" at Ciujung Operations Office on Thursday (24/5). This activity is an effort to improve services and information for toll road users in facing the flow of back and forth back Eid 2018, especially in the area of Banten.
On this occasion ASTRA Tol Tangerang - Merak presents Toll Road Regulatory Agency represented by BPJT Secretary Dr. Ir. Darda Daraba, M.Si, Department of Transportation Communication, Information Banten Province, Banten Regional Police and Tourism Office of Banten Province as part of a form of support to Banten tourism charms visited during the busy Lebaran.
President Director of PT Marga Mandalasakti Krist Ade Sudiyono said the moment of Eid can be used by some residents to vacation with family, Pay a Social Visit with each other while visiting tourist destinations to seek religious tourism objects, culture and history, amusement parks, marine and culinary tourism. We predict that 2 million more vehicles will cross the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road during the homecoming and return periods, and among them are tourists. PT Marga Mandalasakti prepares the fourth row from Bitung to Balaraja Barat for homecoming and holiday, hoping to contribute to the development of Banten tourism charm.
To support the journey of users of Toll road toll Tangerang - Merak has done the road replication activities using asphalt (overlay) along the 18,64 km of transaction capacity increase available 89 regular substations contained in 10 Toll Gate consisting of 7 substations and 5 tandem substation with composition Automatic Toll Force (GTO) as many as 23 substations consisting of 12 Entrance Entrance, 9 Exit Garde and 2 Substation Ramp.
In handling the density of homecoming back and forth will be applied traffic engineering, such as:
- If there is a queue in Peacock then it will do the vehicle shelter on the road Cikuasa to Tigers access Merak Toll. Exit substation transactions The Merak Toll Gate is paused (open-close) and will reopen when Cikuasa road can accommodate again. Users of toll roads are encouraged to rest at KM 43 and KM 68 Rest and Service Spots (TIP) in Merak direction, and vehicles are sorted to be diverted out to the East or West Cilegon Gate.
- If there is a queue to East Cilegon it will be the transfer of some vehicles to the West Cilegon Gate
- If there is a queue at the East Serang Gate it will be transferred some of the vehicles to the West Serang Gate.
If under current or contraflow counter conditions are required , the officer has prepared a point ofcontraflow plan which attempts to manage the transfer of traffic flow to the nearest toll gate.
ASTRA Tol Tangerang-Merak is also ready to enforce the restriction rules of heavy vehicles in accordance with the regulations applicable during the period of going back and forth in the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road with the following conditions:
- The limitation of the operation of the goods car with the Permitted Weight (JBI) of more than 14,000 kg, the axis of 3 or more, and the freight car by the two-wheeler and the carriage.
- Enforcement The limitation of the operation of the goods car divided into 2 time periods, namely:
a. June 12, 2018 (H-3) at 00.00 WIBs.d June 14, 2018 (H-1) at 24.00 WIB, and
b. June 22, 2018 (H + 6) from 00:00 am to 24 June 2018 (H + 8) at 24:00 pm.
Supporting the flow of Lebaran as well as Banten holiday holiday, a number of support services have been prepared to serve the road users including 21 units of Variable Message Sign (VMS) and 2 units of mobile VMS, 4 ambulance units, 1 rescue truck unit, 7 units of patrol vehicle, 14 fleets Derek, 3 units of Kamtib fleet, 77 warning lights, 4 weigh in motion units located at East Cilegon Toll Gate, West Cilegon, West Serang and Cikande, 90 closed-circuit television units (CCTV) which is installed at 45 points along the toll road section and 1,666 units of Public Street Lighting.
The optimization of 4 Rest and Service Centers (TIPs) in KM 43 and KM68 in Merak and KM 68 and KM 45 direction of Jakarta is also conducted with facilities and services consisting of top ups of electronic money, public fueling stations (gas stations ), dining areas, parking areas, automated teller machines (ATMs), mosques and public toilets and the addition of toiletportable. Also equipped with public street lighting, monitoring cameras and security patrollers. ASTRA Tangerang-Merak Toll Road has also prepared ASTRA Post on H-6 to H2 or 9 to 16 June 2018 at TIP KM 68 Jakarta. The Health Post is equipped with medical personnel and ambulance units, will provide free health check up on H-7 to H + 7 or June 8 until June 23, 2018 at TIP KM 68 in Merak and Jakarta.
In this year's homecoming season, various service upgrades have been prepared for Tangerang-Merak Toll Road users, both in terms of transaction services, traffic management, information dissemination, standby service posts as well as road infrastructure improvement services.
In order to maintain the smoothness of transactions, it is advised to always pay close attention to the amount of balance and always use the same electronic money card at the time of transaction at the entrance gate and exit Tangerang-Merak Toll Road.
