Development Progress of Cisumdawu Toll Road

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing continues to push for the completion of the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road (Cisumdawu), especially 27.62 km of Section I and II.

The 60.47 km Cisumdawu Toll Road is divided into six sections. Sections I and II starting from Cileunyi to Sumedang are funded from loans from the Chinese Government as part of the viability gap fund (VGF) to increase the feasibility of the toll road investment. While Section III-VI along the 33.22 km is carried out by the PT Citra Karya Jabar Tol toll road business entity (BUJT).

Construction of Section 2 along 17.05 km is divided into two phases. Phase I of Ranca Kalong-Ciherang with a length of 6.35 km has been completed in 2017. While phase II of Ciherang-Sumedang with a length of 10.7 km, the progress has now reached 63.42%.

For Section I, as long as 10.57 km of land acquisition reached 65.86% and construction progress of 14.26%. Overall the land acquisition which is the portion of the Government is 89.5%.

The Cisumdawu toll road will increase the mobility of goods and services from south-north of West Java because it connects the Purbaleunyi Toll Road with the Cikopo - Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road already in operation. Cisumdawu access is also access to Kertajati International Airport in Majalengka.

While the four sections worked on by BUJT were built with an investment of Rp. 8.41 trillion. Currently section 3 has begun the construction phase with a progress of 59.09%, while the other sections are in the stage of land acquisition. It is targeted that 4 km in section 3 will be completed in September 2019.
