Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to encourage the completion of the 60.10 km Cileunyi – Sumedang – Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road in West Java Province which will be connected to the Kertajati Airport Access Toll Road. This toll road is expected to be completely completed by the end of 2021 to support the function of West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati.
Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono asked all parties to continue to coordinate and work hard to accelerate land acquisition, so that the completion of the Cisumdawu Toll Road is on target by the end of 2021. "Because construction can only proceed quickly if land is available," Minister Basuki said.
To accelerate land acquisition, the Ministry of PUPR through the Region I Toll Road Land Procurement Working Unit, the Directorate General of Highways continues to improve coordination with other agencies, namely the West Java Provincial Government, Sumedang Regency Government, National Land Agency (BPN), Regional Police, High Prosecutor's Office, and other agencies. other related.
Based on data for Section I Cileunyi - Rancakalong along 11.45 km, the construction reached 77.42% with a land progress of 98.6%. Furthermore, Section II Rancakalong - Sumedang with a length of 17.05 km has a construction progress of 91.99% with a land acquisition of 96.11%.

The Cisumdawu toll road consists of 6 sections which were built under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. Of the six sections, Sections 1 and 2 are carried out by the Government as part of the viability gap fund (VGF) in order to increase the feasibility of the toll road investment. Then Sections 3-6 are carried out by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), namely PT. Citra Karya West Java Toll Road (CKJT) with an investment value of Rp 8.41 trillion.
With the operation of all sections of the Cisumdawu Toll Road and later connected to the BIJB Kertajati Access Toll Road, it will reduce the travel time from Bandung from about 3 hours to 1 hour. With increasing connectivity, airport operations will increase and be competitive, so it is hoped that it can replace Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung.
The presence of the Cisumdawu Toll Road also supports the development of the Cirebon-Subang-Majalengka (Rebana) “golden triangle” area as a new center of economic growth, as well as being one of the toll roads with beautiful views such as the Bawen-Salatiga Toll Road because it offers panoramic views of the mountains in Bumi Priangan.
