Inauguration of Solo Toll Road - Ngawi Segmen Kertasura - Sragen By President Joko Widodo
Expanding to 35.2 Km Solo Toll Road - Ngawi Segmen Kertasura - Sragen was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Sunday (15/7). Located at the Ngemplak Toll Gate, Boyolali District Joko Widodo was accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOE) Rini M Soemarno, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Director General of Highways Arie Setiadi Moerwanto, Head of the Regulatory Agency Tol (BPJT) Herry Trisaputra Zuna, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk Desi Arryani, President Director of PT Jasamarga Solo Ngawi David Wijayatno.
Minister PUPR, Basuki Hadimuljono in his report stated that Solo Ngawi Toll Road is unique because it synergizes with airport rail transportation modes. "Behind (ROW from Kadipiro-Purwodadi to Adi Soemarmo Airport) the existing crane is the railway line to the airport that has been started." he explained
Solo - Ngawi Toll Road has a total length of 90.43 Km consisting of three Segments, namely Segment Junction Kartasura - Karanganyar for 20.9 Km (construction by Government), Karanganyar Segment - Sangkagen Crossroad of 14.3 Km (construction by BUJT) and Sangkagen Interchange Segment (SUN) - 54 km (BUJT) intersection planned for operation in September 2018.
In his speech, President Joko Widodo stated that Trans Java Toll Road will gradually be connected from Merak to Banyuwangi. "I am happy that Toll Road Kartasura - Sragen is completed and gradually Trans Java Toll Road is connected from Merak to Banyuwangi."
Related to the rest area , specifically the President advised that its use could increase the economic strains of the people. The President wants the points in the rest area to be filled with local products.

President Joko Widodo instructed the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises and the Minister of PUPR to cooperate with the Provincial, Regency and Municipal Government to facilitate micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in order to get the opportunity to sell at the rest area of the toll road so that the rest area will be dominated by local products. Furthermore, the President asserted that this is a manifestation of alignment to local products, not just a matter of income alone.
"So that the name of batik can be sold in the rest area, salted eggs can be sold in the rest area , the food was earlier.If drinking wedang ronde, I think it can be sold in the rest area ," continued President Joko Widodo.
Solo - Ngawi Toll Road is equipped with 6 Toll Gate (GT), namely GT Colomadu, GT Airport, GT Ngemplak, GT Purwodadi, GT Karanganyar, GT Sragen, GT Sragen Timur, and GT Ngawi (Ngawi City). To facilitate the public in accessing toll roads PT. Jasamarga Solo Ngawi also prepares 8 Simpang Susun (SS), namely SS Kartasura / Colomadu, SS Airport, SS Ngemplak, SS Purwodadi, SS Karanganyar, SS Sragen, SS Sragen Timur and SS Ngawi.
Solo - Ngawi Toll Road Concession is carried out by PT. Jasamarga Solo Ngawi with Toll Road Concession Agreement signed on June 28, 2011. The concession period of Ngawi toll road concession - Kertosono is 40 years since the issuance of Construction Command Letter (SPMK).
The toll road with an investment cost of 11.34 trillion is expected to increase economic growth especially in Central Java and East Java Province. Along with infrastructure support, Solo-Ngawi Toll Road becomes very important to solve the problems of land transportation and new connectivity that will positively impact the economic condition of the region in general.
Technically, the Sol-Ngawi Toll segment worked with rigid pavement pavement type (concrete pavement) has a number of lanes 2 x 2 or two lanes per direction. The width of the lane reaches 3.6 meters and the outer shoulder is 3 meters.
