Cikande's Interchange Officially Operated
The Cikande Interchange or Interchange construction project officially operates on 3 April 2018 at 00.00 WIB.
Cikande’s Interchange was inaugurated by Vice Governor of Banten Andika Hazrumi accompanied by Regent of Serang Ratu Tatu Chasanah, President Director of PT. Marga Mandalasakti Kris Ade Sudiyono and Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency Herry Trisaputra Zuna at Cikande Toll Gate, Wednesday (2/5).
Cikande’s Interchange is designated as part of the Tangerang - Merak Toll Road based on Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Number 310 / KPTS / M / 2018 with the determination of motor vehicle category and the tariff of tolls according to the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) PUPR Number 311 / KPTS / M / 2018.
Interchange was built since April 2014 has a length of 1.3 KM is expected to be an alternative way for road users and surf traffic in some areas such as Balaraja, Ciujung and Serang. The existence of Simpang Susun Cikande will have an impact on the investors entering the area of Serang Timur Regency, thus increasing the prosperity of the people of Serang Regency and helping to be the solution to reduce the number of unemployment which is still high.
The construction of Simpang Susun Cikande is the number of Tangerang - Merak Toll Gate which was originally 9 to 10. The Cikande Toll Gate is supported by Weigh In Motion (WIM) vehicle weighing instrument which is integrated into road pavement and integrated in toll equipment system. WIM is able to detect the weight of the vehicle when the vehicle enters the Toll Gate Substation.
Before it was inaugurated, the Cikande Simpang Arrangement project has been conducted operational feasibility tests conducted by the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing along with the Directorate General of Land Transportation and Korlantas. Evaluation of feasibility of the operation, including the technical and administrative provisions and the toll system provisions.
