Entity (IBE) with a 10-year concession
period.
Roatex Zrt will begin construction in
2021 with a goal for full operation of the
transaction system by 2023. By that time,
toll booths will not be available any longer,
and toll road users will be connected to
satellites to perform transactions on toll
roads.
The MLFF system will not only be a
transaction system, but also a platform for
the implementation of Intelligent Toll Road
System (ITRS) technology. This technology
will later be connected to the manager
of heavy vehicles that pass through toll
roads using the Weigh in Motion (WIM)
technology.
The WIM technology can automatically
weigh and measure the weight of passing
vehicles. This technology will eventually
be used as a tool to prevent vehicles with
excess load and dimension from passing
through toll roads.
More Practical Transactions
It takes about 10 seconds for drivers to
make cash transactions. With e-money,
it takes half as long, which is 4 seconds.
